Overview

WaitVisa (“we,” “us”) is a content site that publishes visa processing time data sourced from official government agencies. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We do not sell personal data, and we do not require an account to browse the site.

Information we collect

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site. GA4 sets first-party cookies on .waitvisa.com (_ga, _ga_QGTQ0PMYPP) and reports aggregate metrics like page views, country, device, and referral source. We do not use GA4 for advertising or remarketing.

Email subscriptions

If you sign up for processing time alerts, we store your email address, the visa type you're tracking, and (optionally) a wait-time threshold. We use this data exclusively to send the alerts you requested. We do not share or sell email addresses, and we do not use them for unrelated marketing.

Server logs

Our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare + nginx) records standard server logs including IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp. These logs are used for security monitoring and capacity planning, retained for a limited window, and not joined with analytics or subscription data.

Affiliate links

Some links on WaitVisa are affiliate links. Clicking one redirects you to a third-party site (e.g., RushTranslate, SafetyWing) with a tracking parameter so the partner can attribute the visit to us. We do not load partner JavaScript, pixels, or trackers on our own pages — affiliate tracking is purely a query parameter on the outbound URL. Once you land on the partner's site, that partner's privacy policy applies. See our Disclosure page for the full list of partners.

Third parties

• Google (Analytics) — receives aggregated traffic data via the GA4 measurement script. See Google's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare — provides CDN and DDoS protection. Sees request metadata (IP, user agent, URL).
• Affiliate partners — see the Disclosure page for the current list. Receive your visit only if you click an affiliate link.

Your rights

• Unsubscribe — every alert email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@waitvisa.com to be removed.
• Access & deletion — under GDPR (EU/EEA), CCPA (California), and equivalent regimes, you have the right to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you and to request its deletion. Email info@waitvisa.com from the address you subscribed with and we'll respond within 30 days.
• Opt out of analytics — install a browser extension that blocks GA4 (e.g., Google's official opt-out add-on, uBlock Origin, Brave's built-in shields). We honor the standard Do Not Track signal where the browser supports it.

Children

WaitVisa is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, email info@waitvisa.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves (new analytics tools, new affiliate partners, new features). Material changes will be reflected in the Last updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
